The romantic city of Paris, capital of France, is one of the top tourist destinations in the world. Visit the Eiffel Tower

The first is obvious: visit the Eiffel Tower. No trip to Paris is complete without a trip to the famous structure and a ride to its top. The 300 metre tower gives an amazing view from the top which reaches across the whole city. Visiting the Eiffel Tower in the day and at night, when illuminated by 20000 light bulbs every hour, are both things to do in Paris.

Visit the Louvre

The famous art gallery is a must-see when visiting the capital city. Home to Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, one could spend their whole trip in the Louvre alone. Visiting art galleries and museums in general are popular things to do in Paris, but the Louvre, housing around 35 000 pieces of work, is truly spectacular.

Visit Notre Dame

The Cathedral of Notre Dame is the centrepiece of Paris’ gothic scene. A tour around the building is a worthwhile way to spend the afternoon. A visit to the ice creamery across the street, whose good reputation if rapidly growing, is also a favourite among tourists
