Why I’m Hiring A Gardener This Summer

I’ve made a decision recently that instead of doing everything on my own when it comes to my outdoor space, I’m going to hire a gardener to help me out. Now, I absolutely love doing a little bit of gardening here and there, and until now, I’ve managed everything on my own. But after carefully weighing up all the pros and cons, I’ve decided that this is definitely the right choice.

I can’t wait to see my garden transform right in front of my eyes! But why have I decided to go down this route, and why am I paying an extra expense for something that I could arguably do myself? Here are the reasons why…

I want my garden to inspire joy

Gardening can be so relaxing and therapeutic. For example, I love planting new flowers and adding a splash of seasonal colour. There are some jobs though that I really don’t take any joy from, and they become arduous tasks. I hate weeding, and it’s something that I always try to put off for another day!

By outsourcing the jobs you don’t like, you get more time to focus on the things that you’re really interested in, and that bring you pleasure. I know that in the longer term, this will help me to keep up with my gardening hobby.

There are some tasks that are just too big for me to handle

Though I’m confident with selecting and planting flowers, there’s no denying that landscape gardening can be a huge task that requires specialist equipment, experience, and specialist knowledge. I’m not a professional, and I’m just a hobbyist who likes to dabble here and there! There are some things that I simply can’t do, and I don’t have the desire or the time to explore them further.

For example, I’m thinking about paying to get a few bigger projects completed, such as having raised planters installed so I can grow my own fruit and vegetables. I wouldn’t know where to start with doing this myself, so it makes sense to bring in the experts. It’s likely that they could have this kind of task done and dusted in less than a day, and a good gardener would also be able to give me some practical advice on getting started with growing my own.

I love entertaining outdoors over the summer months

Now that the weather is beginning to warm up and we’re getting a real taste of the summer, I’m starting to think about organising a few barbecues and outdoor drinks parties to get my friends together. To ensure that my outdoor space is as welcoming as possible, I may think about paying for a garden clearance service.

If you’re lucky enough to have a garden, then it makes sense to make the most of it and ensure that it’s a space that you can really enjoy over the warmer months. Have you ever considered hiring a gardener? I’d love to hear about your experiences, so don’t hesitate to leave a comment below!
