This Is What My Dream Wedding Venue Looks Like…

When it comes to planning your big day, your venue is going to be pretty high up there on your list of priorities. You’ll no doubt want to find somewhere that reflects your personality as a couple, somewhere that offers all the little extras that you’ll want to include, and of course, somewhere that’s within your budget.

There’s an awful lot to think about, and priorities will differ from one bride to the next. If you’re currently in the planning stages of your own wedding day, then I’d love to help. Looking at other couples for inspiration helped me to make some important decisions, and it’s great to get over viewpoints. Here’s what my own dream wedding venue looks like…

A country house wedding venue

I’m much more of a country dweller than a city girl. I love wide open spaces, fresh air, and nature right on my doorstep. It comes as no surprise then that I really like a wedding venue to offer these things. All too often, I find that city venues can blend into one, and they’re sometimes lacking in character. I love having the option to take drinks and canap├ęs outside if the weather permits, and having plenty of options for outdoor photography. Fun catering options

I love sitting down to a fancy meal for a special occasion, and who doesn’t love a little bit of silver service now and again? The last thing that I want though is for my wedding to be overly stuffy or formal. More than anything else, I want my guests to be able to enjoy themselves, and relax over some great food and drinks. For this reason, I’m choosing a venue that has high quality communal buffet options. All tastes will be catered for, and everyone will encouraged to get their fingers dirty!

Experienced planners on hand

When I first started planning my wedding, I was really keen to do everything myself. That was until I realised exactly what goes into making sure that the day runs smoothly, and the sheer volume of tiny details that need to be on your radar. To be frank, I want to enjoy my day – not spend it stressing out! So it’s really important to me that my venue of choice has experienced planners available to help me iron out all the finer details.

Whether you want an intimate day with just a handful of your nearest and dearest in attendance, or you’re really pushing the boat out for a big white wedding, there’s a venue out there that will be able to meet all your needs, Do your research, visit as many as you can, and don’t be scared to ask any questions that you might have.

It’s a big decision to make, and it isn’t one that you should enter into lightly. Remember though that selecting the right place should also be a load of fun – make sure that you enjoy it as much as you possibly can!
